Thursday, June 13th
6pm- 8pm- Harborview Marina, Ludington Mi
Captain and Participant Meet and Greet.
All Participants must be present to register for Thursday’s event. Registration is mandatory for all participants.
*** Please do not bring family members. Due to capacity reasons, registration is reserved for veterans, authorized caregivers, captains & crew members ONLY.

Friday, June 14th
5:15am– All Participants show up at their respective boats meeting place. Meeting places will be explained at previous evening’s meeting.
6:00am– Shotgun style start from outside of the Ludington pier heads.
11:45am– All vessels assemble outside out pier heads
12:00pm– Welcome home procession led by United States Coast Guard, Ludington Harbor Patrol, & Mason County Sheriff.
1:00pm– Lunch Event
1:30pm– Award ceremony
Fish on For Freedom is a charity, not for profit event, that will be held in our home waters of Ludington as a token of thanks from our community to the men and women that have sacrificed so much making this nation what it is today.
Although a big part of the event is the activity of going out fishing on the waters of Lake Michigan, we are also designing this event to be about the camaraderie of our guests spending time together and the support our community can show towards the military veterans.

The fishing event itself will take place on the morning of June 14th with a tournament style start of fishing early that morning. Once fishing wraps up in the early afternoon, all the participating boats will gather outside the Ludington pier heads to proceed back into the harbor together. This will give community members a wonderful chance to line the Ludington harbor and welcome back the participants and thank them for their sacrifices for our country.

After the boats are docked, we’ll be honoring our participants at a weigh in event and luncheon for all guests and volunteers of the morning’s activities. After the fish have been weighed, our guests fed, and fishing stories exchanged, we’ll also be giving awards for the day’s fishing activities.
